Ms. Elder's Social Studies Class

In class, we will be using primary documents, videos, photographs, and other documentation to explore not only how the events of the past happened, but why, and how those events affect our present day.  Critical thinking skills will be practiced daily, so come to class ready to work hard.  Diversity and culture are two very important parts of my classroom.  I aim to create a respectful and nurturing environment, where students feel safe to explore the information we are studying.  The expectation is that each student will contribute to the environment, and together, we will create a positive and enriching classroom culture.
